However, there is an underlying interconnected conflict that plays a major part in all the books and for that reason, I highly recommend reading the books sequentially.

This is my third time reading the work of Alanea Alder and I'm officially hooked! OMG, Alder's books are like potato chips; you can't stop with just one! lol... I love unique paranormal romance, addicted to danger, action, adventure & suspense, completely smitten with sexy, alpha heroes, adore sassy, courageous heroines, and there's nothing I enjoy more than a few few-bending plot twists and an infusion of laugh-out-loud humor, but when I can get it all in one well-crafted and beautifully written book, I'm in absolute heaven! And that's exactly what Alanea Alder delivered - AGAIN - in My Healer, the third full-length paranormal romance in her captivating and highly imaginative Bewitched & Bewildered Series. Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language, some violence, and steamy, dreamy sex. Will I read this author again? Absolutely which is probably the best recommendation I can give! As a matter of fact, after completing the first book of this series, I raced back to Amazon and purchased the remaining nine books, which speaks volumes as to how much I enjoyed this author's work! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my chair, white-knuckling my ereader, my heart fluttering wildly in my chest as the pages flew as quickly as the pages! I fell in love with handsome, loyal, and always charming wolf shifter Colton, and the lovely, kindhearted, dedicated human doctor Rheia and her adopted shifter daughter Penny truly captured my heart! Oh my, this story just ripped my heart out of my chest! I snickered, snorted, sniffled, snuffled, chuckled, and outright ugly cried through the entire story! But never fear, Colton, Rheia, and Penny do get their happy ending! But just a little warning, folks, don't start this book unless you have plenty of time; you will not want to stop until you reach the last page. I should know; I stayed up all night because I couldn't stop reading! lol... If you enjoy perilous danger, intense drama, agonizing angst, pulse-pounding action, nail-biting suspense, side-splitting humor, heartwarming romance, and a few mind-blowing plot twists that you'll never see coming, then this book is screaming your name. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Thanks for the recommendation Fran Zoch!

Rheia is a strong, smart, dedicated person who is the perfect match for loving, playful Colton. All the old gang is back...one of my favorites being Bart the wise sage of all things female. The way the author meshes their personalities makes for a very entertaining read. She has managed to keep their interactions fresh. But the true star of this story is Penny and how she manages to wrap all those grown, growly men around her little finger. I like the progression of the storyline about the disappearances of people and the growing fear about the ferals. It is very intriguing and it seems as though we are heading towards all out war instead of the underground activities we have seen in past books.
I was excited to see a new group of warriors introduced, and I am hoping to see this series expanded. I am looking forward to the next installment to this series.

My favorite type of MMC. He is so funny, and gorgeous and everything else that one wants in a mate. I love how this series uses a single storyline for the most part. It's like watching your favorite television series as the story unfolds over time. Highly recommend.
